Informative and fun showcase of ‘A Vision For All’ at two-day event

Johor Bahru, Friday, 23rd April 2010 – The local community residing in Kulai, Senai, Johor Bahru and the surrounding areas can look forward to two days of informative fun at the 3rd Iskandar Malaysia Open Day (IMOD) at the IOI Mall on 1st and 2nd May.

The Open Day, themed “A Vision for All” is jointly organized by Iskandar Regional Development Authority (IRDA) and it partners as well as Government agencies in Iskandar Malaysia.

Among others, the Open Day would showcase the implementation progress in the various areas of development including Safety and Security, Environment, Infrastructure, Public Housing, Medical, Education, Human Capital and Transportation.

IRDA Communications Head Nor Hisham Hussein said the event was aimed at showing the outcomes and achievements for the benefit the community in Iskandar Malaysia and the country at large.

“We want to show the people of Iskandar Malaysia the benefits their families and future generations will be reaping from this development so that they can share our excitement and support this development together with us.

“The event will not only be informative, but also interactive as there will be a range of activities been lined up so that the 3rd IMOD will be educational, fun-filled and an outing for the entire family,” said Nor Hisham.

He added visitors would be able to see how Iskandar Malaysia provides a stable environmental and socio-economic growth with the new investments creating numerous job opportunities in the promoted sectors, including health, tourism, education, creative industries and logistics.

Open to the public from 10.00am to 9.30pm during the two days, visitors will not only get first-hand information on Iskandar Malaysia, but be treated to various cultural performances, competitions, live entertainment, demonstrations and on-the-spot quizzes.

Visitors will also be entertained by clown appearances, LEGO challenges, artist performances and have the chance to bag some cool giveaways! With all these goodies lined up, the 3rd IMOD promises to be one informative, fun and exciting ride for all those who join in the festivities.

Members of the public can also attend various talks on the latest developments by IRDA and its partners. Entry to the Open Day is Free.
