One million support 'green' project

A TOTAL of one million signatures were garnered to support the call to save the environment under the Born 4 Nature programme.

Programme director Zaini Abas said the collection of signatures was aimed at creating an awareness on how the public can contribute to protect the environment.

Johor Baru City Council (MBJB) has been selected as the first local council to jointly work with sponsors to host the programme which would also be held in other states.

"In Johor, more than one million signatures were collected.

"There were also seminars on environment awareness held at district, state and national levels," he said.
