ISKANDAR Investment Berhad has registered more than 700 job seekers at a recent JobsMalaysia job fair.
The job seekers, most of whom were from Johor, were very interested in employment opportunities at Legoland Malaysia, a theme park resort located in Medini Iskandar Malaysia
The job fair was opened by Johor Menteri Besar Datuk Abdul Ghani Othman last week.
At the fair, Iskandar Development Region (IDR) Resorts, a subsidiary of Iskandar Investment, showcased more than 1,000 employment opportunities which will be available at Legoland Malaysia.
The theme park is scheduled to open in 2012.

IDR Resorts director Zainal Ashikin Muhammad Rejab said Iskandar Investment was pleased with the positive response.
"The exercise will give Legoland Malaysia a head start in terms of assessing the human capital available for the park's operational needs," Zainal Ashikin said.
There are jobs ranging from model builders to operators of over 40 rides and attractions in the theme park," he added.
Recruitment drives by Iskandar Investment and its partners will take place throughout the year as the company continues to strengthen and expand its talent base in preparation for the development of its projects over the next few years.
"Building a skilled workforce is integral to Iskandar Investment's sustained efforts to transform the region into a global destination," he said.
Meanwhile, the company's human resources management senior vice president Abdul Mutalif Abdul Manaf said that in support of the Iskandar Malaysia human capital management blueprint, Iskandar Investment will undertake initiatives to establish partnerships with industry training and development providers for skills upgrading, mentorship programmes and job rotation opportunities for its employees.
