The Johor Government, through its Science, Techonology and ICT Unit, is in the process of developing an online public complaints system known as 'e-Jawab'.
Menteri Besar Datuk Abdul Ghani Othman said the system, currently at beta or trial level, would allow the public to file complaints, questions and suggestions to state government departments and agencies.
"With this system and cooperation among the agencies, I believe the people's problems can be settled quickly," he said at an awards presentation ceremony for the state-level Best Website Competition 2009 here Monday.
Abdul Ghani said the 'e-Jawab' system would also be integrated with the Government SMS Gateway or My SMS 15888, with help from the Malaysian Administration Modernisation and Management Planning Unit.
On the competition which was divided into four categories, he said it was aimed at supporting the government's efforts at improving its online services.
The award recipients for the competition were the Land and Mineral Office, Johor Baharu Land Office, Johor Baharu City Council and the Johor Religious Council.
