The development of Iskandar Malaysia offers a meaningful opportunity for the Malaysian Government, working in tandem with the private sector, to drive reforms and innovation in delivery systems, local government, physical planning, infrastructure development and environmental protection.

Under the Malaysian Government 'Malaysia My Second Home' programme, foreigners are encouraged to migrate to Malaysia. Participants of the programme are provisioned with various incentives to make their stay more comfortable and enjoyable in Malaysia. The Malaysia My Second Home program, which is designed to help foreigners relocate to the country, has approved more than 12,000 applications since the programme began in 2002.
